RARE Green Polychrome Transferware Bowl English Hunt Scene by Spode Copeland Field Sports Tonquin Pattern The plate depicts President LincolntFrom Spodes Field Sports series which was produced between 1890 1940 this circa 1930's plate with artwork by J F Herring depicts a huntsman on his horse with a dog at his side in pursuit of a fox. The border is my favorite thing about this plate being of mixed foliage and flowers. Parts of the scene and border are hand painted with shades of purple, red, mauve, yellow and taupe brown.
